Nymeria (aka Mimi) arrived at SSH on 6/1/2024. Mimi came in as an unclaimed stray wandering the reservation. After several weeks, no one claimed her so we picked her up and brought her to SSH to save her life.

Mimi is so smart! She loves her Kong toy and her squeeky duck toy. She knows "Shake" and "Sit" and will try to befriend everyone wherever you take her. She gets a ton of compliments on how gorgeous and friendly she is.

Mimi would like an active home with a big backyard. She loves to be included in household activities.

Max arrived at SSH on 11/4/2024. She's timid at first but will come around when given some time.

Max arrived at SSH as a whopping 13 lbs. His previous owners (whom just adopted him from the city shelter on 10/12/2024) carelessly overfed him human foods like licorice and cheeseburgers! So much so, that he gained 3 lbs. in 3 weeks. Max's healthy weight is 8-10 lbs. He's currently 11.5 lbs.

Max is so sweet. He's not shy about giving kisses and pawing at your leg or hand for extra ear scratches but it is understandably cautious. He will likely sit in a corner and observe his surroundings for the first day or 2.

Max tolerates other dogs but doesn't want to share snuggle time. He would do best in a home where he is the only pet.

Murray & Cardi arrived at SSH on 11/9/2024. They were surrendered to us because their owner was aging and could no longer afford their care.
Cardi is a friendly, affectionate, and playful pup who loves to spend her days playing with her father (Murray). Although we don't know if Cardi likes cats, we do know that she loves other small dogs and people and is always excited to make new human friends.
Cardi is an intelligent dog with a spunky personality. She'd like a family who can provide her with lots of playtime and mental stimulation as she's still a puppy.
She loves treats and is eager to learn. If you're looking for a furry friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Cardi is the perfect companion for you.​
